Privacy & Data Requests

To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, email support@getflyp.xyz. We respond to all privacy requests within 30 days. To delete your Flyp account and all associated data, open the Flyp app → Settings → Delete Account.

  • How do I add friends?
    Open Flyp and scan your friend's QR code in person. That's the only way to connect — no follow requests, no random strangers, no algorithm.
  • What is a Weld?
    A Weld is a verified Hangout session. Start one when you're physically with friends to earn XP together. The more friends present, the bigger your multiplier.
  • What is a Vibe?
    A Vibe is a real-time status showing what you're up to — Studying, Coffee, Gym, etc. Friends and nearby users can see it. It expires automatically after 2 hours.
  • What is Match My Vibe?
    A map filter that shows only people currently sharing the same Vibe as you. Great for finding study partners or people to grab coffee with right now.
  • How does XP work?
    You earn XP every second during a Hangout session. The more friends present, the higher your multiplier — up to 8× with three or more people. Put your phone face-down to earn a Focus Bonus on top.
  • What is Ghost Mode?
    Ghost Mode hides your location and Vibe from other users. Enable it anytime in Settings. Your friends won't see you on the map while Ghost Mode is active.
  • What is Social Bridge?
    Social Bridge lets a mutual friend introduce you to someone they think you'd get along with. Both people have to agree and spend Pulse Credits before the connection is made. No surprise adds.
  • What is the Mid-Point Finder?
    A feature that calculates the geographic midpoint between you and a friend and suggests nearby spots to meet. Useful when you're both trying to figure out where to hang out.
  • What are Streak Shields?
    Streak Shields protect your hangout streak from being broken by a single missed day. Earn them through consistent activity and they'll automatically activate when needed.
  • How do I report a bug?
    Shake your phone anywhere in the Flyp app to open the bug reporter. Describe what happened and submit — it goes straight to us.
  • How do I report a user?
    Tap on their profile and select "Report." We review all reports and take action on violations of our Terms of Service within 24 hours.
  • I forgot my password. How do I reset it?
    On the login screen, tap "Forgot Password" and enter your email address. You'll receive a reset link within a few minutes. Check your spam folder if it doesn't arrive.
  • Why isn't my location showing on the map?
    Make sure you've set a Vibe and that location permissions are enabled for Flyp in your device Settings. Ghost Mode may also be active — check Settings in the app.
  • How do I delete my account?
    Open Flyp → Settings → Delete Account. Your account and all associated data will be permanently removed. This action cannot be undone.
